I find Michales Greens' statement about his GIF art, "Balloon Dog Deflated" very interesting. Although he's saying it's a representation of how modern art value is deflating it feels like he's all for it. That digital art is better. Which I don't entirely agree with.

Nowadays the value of any art is all over the place. And sometimes it feels like it's more about who you know instead of what your talent is and what you make. Though, I still am a fan of traditional art being valued and that we don't have to push it aside for digital art to be the more valued media. I think all art mediums should be highly valued because it's not about what you use but your intention and meaning behind the art. Or even if you just think it's cool.

To offer another side of his point, digital art is more dominant and accessible to the public. If you want to see the Monalisa then you could look up a picture someone took of the Monalisa rather than visiting the Louvre Museum in Paris. Which brings up another question, if digital art is so accessible how do you get your credit for it? How do you get paid for it? How do you protect it? Or is the art world oversaturated at this point? Yes, it's the hot thing now, but how do we make it stand out?

I believe traditional art is still valued and timeless. And with the digital medium coming in hot we need to find a way to keep it just as valued as old art.
